Usage — step by step

1. Install (Python 3.9+):

   pip install gasprofiler
   

2. Profile a Solidity contract and print a per-function gas table:

   gasprofiler profile contracts/Token.sol
   

3. Save a baseline snapshot for CI (globs are supported):

   gasprofiler profile "contracts/*.sol" --out .gas-baseline.json
   

4. Fail a PR when any function regresses beyond a tolerance vs the baseline:

   gasprofiler check "contracts/*.sol" --baseline .gas-baseline.json --tolerance 0.05
   

5. Read the output: the table sorts functions by estimated gas and flags UNBOUNDED loops; check prints regressions/improvements. Use --format json | jq . for tooling. Exit codes: 0 clean, 1 unbounded-loop findings (profile) or regressions (check), 2 usage/IO error.
