Sell your MCP: a marketplace with an 80/20 split
Authors can now charge for their MCP — per install or per call. The buyer pays from a wallet, you keep 80%, Unyly takes 20%. Free MCPs stay free and one-click.
Good MCP servers take real work — API integration, edge cases, maintenance. Until now there was no clean way to be paid for them. There is now.
The model
You pick the pricing per server:
- Free — one-click, no charge (unchanged).
- Per install — a one-time price (e.g. $1) when someone adds it.
- Per call — usage-based, metered on every tool call through the gateway.
Buyers pay from their Unyly wallet balance. On a paid transaction the split is 80% to the author, 20% to Unyly.
Why a wallet
Wallet-first keeps checkout instant and keeps the payment plumbing off the hot path. Top-ups happen through the existing crypto flow; the actual purchase debits balance and credits the author immediately — earnings show up on your dashboard.
What you keep control of
Your price, your model, and the ability to switch back to free anytime. Free listings stay exactly as findable as before — monetization is opt-in.
